"Can you make this every time?"

Jadon and Ethan loved this. Especially Jadon. He polished off Karleigh's last third, too.
Persimmons from our Bountiful Baskets order, everything else from Winco's bulk section.

Five grain cereal (handful)
Mueslix (ditto)
Pecans
Dried Cranberries
Fresh Diced Persimmon
Rolled Oats
Honey
Salt

Cooked the first two in water and salt, added the oats to help soak up a little extra water, and then added the rest.

Never had persimmons till the other day. Came with our "you get what you get" order from Bountiful Baskets (after one such order, I like it - especially coming at about 57 cents a pound for a variety of fruits and vegetables). Persimmons are lightly sweet, mild flavor, texture probably much like a fresh squash, pretty tasty. (I've since found that as they ripen, persimmons become softer and juicier)

Looks yummy. We ate our first persimmons tonight. They were delicious.

Kind of reminded me of a mango.

So . . . are you going to make it every time?

As the persimmons ripen we've found they do soften, and become mango-like in texture.
